• It's easy to make delicious crème brûlée with our foolproof mix. We took the guesswork out of making the classic vanilla custard – just simmer the mix with half-and-half and heavy cream, then chill. Top the set custard with a layer of sugar and use a kitchen torch to create the signature caramelized finish.

RECEIVING INSTRUCTIONS

• Mix ships fresh at ambient temperature.
• Upon receipt, store unopened at room temperature for up to 12 months.

PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS

Ingredients

• Crème brûlée mix (included)
• 1 qt. (907g) half-and-half
• 1 qt. (907g) heavy cream

Directions

• In bowl, combine mix with 1/2 qt. of half-and-half.
• In saucepan, combine the other 1/2 qt. of half-and-half with heavy cream. Bring to a boil.
• Turn down to a simmer, then whisk mixture into hot liquid. Return to a boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
• Pour mixture into individual serving dishes. Refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours so custard can set.
• Just before serving, sprinkle sugar on top of set custard. Use kitchen torch to caramelize sugar.
